- 1 cup softened butter
- ½ cup sugar
- 2½ cups flour
- Heat the oven to 300 F (150 C).
- Cream the butter and sugar.
- Gradually stir flour into the creamed mixture until well blended.
- Spread or pat the dough in the bottom of an ungreased 9x13 baking pan.
- Bake for 30 to 40 minutes, until just lightly browned.
- Remove from oven and immediately pierce all over with a fork.
- Softened butter
- Butter left at room temperature for approximately 20 minutes.
- Cream butter and sugar
- Mix butter and sugar together until it is light and fluffy.
